Hannah Truckenbrod is a jazz vocalist that hails from Aurora, Illinois. From a young age, Hannah was immersed in the arts through school and community groups where she played multiple instruments, performed in shows, and took art classes. In high school, the ambitious musician was invited to sing with the jazz ensemble, and her love for jazz classics was established. Hannah’s curiosity for different singing styles and the jazz idiom led her to pursue and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University in the Spring of 2018.

Hannah has performed with artists such as Kurt Elling, Ben Folds, Randy Brecker, and the New York Voices. As a section leader for WMU’s premier vocal jazz ensemble, Gold Company, Hannah has performed internationally and appears on multiple DownBeat Student Music Award-winning recordings in the group. In the spring of 2018, Gold Company was awarded 1st place at the Monterey Jazz Festival Next Generation Competition, and Hannah was recognized as one of three outstanding soloists from the vocal festival.

On her debut solo record, Nobody Else But Me, Hannah Truckenbrod delivers a collection of beloved classics from the Great American Songbook. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Rosemary Clooney, and Diana Krall, these heartfelt melodies and whimsical lyrics come together in a project of love and adoration for the jazz idiom. very day brings a new adventure, and Hannah is grateful and so excited to be a part of the Glenn Miller legacy.
